Overview
This is the formal consultation on the Eastleigh Borough Local Plan 2016-2036.
All Local Authorities must have a Local Plan which sets out how it is going to deliver space for businesses, new homes and all the facilities that are needed to support this whilst also protecting and enhancing the local environment.
The Local Plan process is a long one which started with us looking at the issues and a range of options on which we asked your views in December 2015. Since that time, we have been working on a wide range of detailed technical studies in order to ensure we have a plan that is sound and can be delivered.
Why your views matter
The Local Plan is the key document that will help shape Eastleigh Borough over the coming years. Everyone can be affected by proposals so make sure you get involved and have your say in this consultation.

What happens next
The consultation is now closed and all responses are being reviewed ready to be published later in the process. All of the representations received will be passed to the appointed Planning Inspector along with the Plan, supporting evidence and the Council's response to the issues raised during the consultation.
