Local Plan Review - Statement of Community Involvement

Overview

We are inviting you to comment on how the Council consults communities on planning matters. 

The Council has started work on the review of the Eastleigh Borough Local Plan 2016-2036. We are updating key supporting documents for the plan including the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI). This sets out how we propose to consult you on planning matters. In addition to consultation on the Local Plan Review and other planning policy documents, it also covers how we will consult on planning applications.

What happens next

The Council will consider all comments received on the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) and produce a final version. This will be taken to Cabinet for their approval to adopt. After its adoption, the Council will follow the measures in the plan when deciding how to consult the community on planning matters, subject to any changes in the regulations.
