Local Plan - Consultation 2024 - Full Survey

Closes 29 Jan 2025

Opened 4 Dec 2024

Overview

What is the Local Plan review?

We are at the first stage in the preparation of the new Local Plan. The Local Plan Review will identify how much development we need in the next twenty years and where it should go. It will also include policies to protect the environment, respond to climate change, and ensure high-quality design to create places that meet community needs.

The Issues and Options documents include an initial assessment of the key issues in the Borough, options for the scale and location of new housing and other development and how our existing policies need to change. The sites included in this consultation have been put forward by landowners and developers. At this early stage, we have no view about which sites should be selected for development and we want to hear your thoughts.

Why your views matter

This is the first stage of public consultation on the Local Plan Review. We want your comments to better understand the issues facing the borough and to consider the most appropriate growth options.

The consultation is open to everyone. We welcome comments from members of the public, statutory consultees, landowners, businesses, community groups, local organisations and other stakeholders and interested parties.

Please complete the online survey using the link at the bottom of this page.

The survey is split into sections. You do not have to complete each section of this consultation if you do not want to.

You can also email responses to local.plan@eastleigh.gov.uk or post them to Planning Policy, Upper Market Street, Eastleigh, SO50 9YN

We are also holding nine drop-in sessions across the borough for you to ask us any questions in person. Please see list of dates, times and locations at the bottom of this page.
