Why your views matter
Eastleigh Borough Council is seeking residents’ and stakeholders’ views on the draft Animal Welfare and Licensing Policy and draft PSPO (Public Space Protection Order) for the control of dog fouling.
The Policy sets out the Council’s approach to the administration and enforcement of the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018 and enforcement of other animal related issues, reports and complaints received by the Council.
The PSPO sets out the Council’s enforcement response to people who allow their dogs to foul and not pick it up.
It is important to the Council that the views of local residents and other stakeholders are considered as part of the decision-making process. You are invited to complete this Response Form to give your views on both the Animal Licensing and Welfare Policy and proposed PSPO.
The findings of the consultation will be published and presented to Cabinet later in 2024. Your feedback will help us to shape the Policy and PSPO.
Before completing this survey, it is recommended that you read the draft Animal Licensing and Welfare Policy and PSPO:-
Please return your completed survey by 11:59pm Monday 06 May 2024.
All responses received will be treated in the strictest confidence. The Council will use the responses from this survey for research purposes only.
