Stoke Park Farm
Overview
Eastleigh Borough Council has purchased 103 hectares of farmland in Bishopstoke and is now inviting local residents and other stakeholders to help determine the future uses of the land at Stoke Park Farm that would enhance the local environment within Bishopstoke.
The land will be used for a variety of initiatives to enhance our environment and by changing the land from conventional agricultural use helps us to reduce the amount of nutrients that end up in our rivers and the Solent.
The proposed scheme for Stoke Park Farm sets out details on the location and composition of the land whilst outlining potential uses. The document summarises that the land has the opportunity to create an environment for people to enjoy and where wildlife can thrive which could be delivered by; encouraging public use, adjusting the management of the land and using existing buildings for public use.
Please review the attached Bishopstoke Land Proposal and provide your thoughts and feedback to help shape this important environment
If you would like to meet and discuss the opportunities in person there will be public meetings held at:
- Thursday 9 February from 6pm at Bishopstoke Community Centre, Sydney Road, Bishopstoke SO50 6DJ
- Wednesday 15 February from 6pm at Woodland Community Centre, Savernake Way, Fair Oak SO50 8DH
The consultation will run from 14 December 2022 until 31 March 2023.
